How to centralize a complex system?

The main challenge was connecting new user interfaces with the existing central parking management system of the City of Tuzla. The goal was to eliminate payment friction, enable secure online transactions, and ensure that data flows seamlessly between physical parking meters, field controllers, and end users.

Our approach focused on three key pillars:

1. Web service for online service sales

We developed a robust web platform that serves as a central hub for users.

  • Direct Integration: The web service is fully connected to the city’s central application system.

  • All Services in One Place: Purchase of all types of parking tickets (hourly, daily, residential/privileged) is enabled through an intuitive interface.

  • Payment Security: An advanced online payment system has been implemented, guaranteeing maximum data protection and transaction reliability.

2. Mobile Application (Android)

To take mobility to the next level, we created an application available on the Google Play Store.

  • Real-time Synchronization: The application and web service share the same database. Every purchase made on the web is visible in the app instantly, and vice versa.

  • User Experience (UX): The focus was placed on speed – a user can pay for parking in just a few clicks.

3. System Architecture and Scalability

The system is designed to withstand high data traffic intensity, ensuring that field controllers have real-time information regarding ticket validity at all times, regardless of the sales channel.
