First of all you need to know that choosing the operating system for the hosting package has nothing to do with your operating system on your computer. If you want to use Microsoft technologies such as ASP, ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL databases, then by all means, take the Windows hosting package. And if you prefer PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, MySQL or any of the popular CMS systems like WordPress or Joomla, choose the Linux hosting package.
